Scanners tell you what’s in a product. Tray tells you what’s in your day.

The multivitamin, the vitamin D drops, the magnesium, the evening tea, your prescription. Tray adds them all up, shows what overlaps, flags the combinations official sources warn about, and helps you see what’s actually working for you.

No scores out of 100. Sources you can check. Not medical advice.

Do you know how much you actually take?

Tick what’s in your cupboard. Tray adds it up the way it does in the app and compares each total with official upper levels for adults.

Why don’t all apps agree on what’s “too much”?
  • Upper levels are set per day for adults, not per kilo of body weight. They are lower for children and teens, and a few change after 50 (calcium in the US, for example).
  • Authorities disagree. EFSA, for the EU, says 12 mg of vitamin B6 a day; the US NIH says 100 mg. Zinc is 25 mg vs 40 mg.
  • In Tray you choose your age group and the authority you want to follow. When they differ, Tray shows both, with links to each source.

Do this with your real labels
What Tray does

Not another scanner. The whole picture.

Reading a label is solved. What nobody shows you is what happens when everything you take lands in the same day, and whether any of it is helping.

Everything you take, together

Supplements, teas, skincare and medicines on one shelf. Tray adds up the amounts, shows what appears in more than one product, and checks combinations against official sources, including your prescriptions.

01

What happens over time

Log your day in a minute: what you took, sleep, movement, food, calm, how you felt. After a couple of weeks Tray shows your own patterns: “On days with chamomile, you felt 4.1 vs 3.2.”

02

Sources, not scores

No secret score out of 100. For each ingredient you see what NIH, EMA, EFSA and the EU health-claims register say, with links, and a short summary. You decide.

03

A story you’ll want to keep

Every day becomes a small bloom. Weeks become a garden. Download your day, week or journey as an image and share it, if you like.

Fair question

“There are already apps that scan labels.”

True, and they’re good at it. Tray starts where they stop.

Today

One minute a day. A picture you can read.

Tap what you took. Pick a level for your five roots: sleep, movement, nourishment, calm and rituals. Add one line in your own words. Tray turns it into a bloom, and the blooms into your story.

  • Type it like you’d say it: “lemon with water”, “2 cups green tea”.
  • Set what “a lot” means for you: a new mum’s good sleep isn’t an athlete’s.
  • Sick or travelling? Tag the day; it won’t count against you.

How it works

Three steps. Start with one.

  • 1

    Add what you take

Type it or scan the label. Tray reads ingredients and amounts, and you check them before saving.

  • 2

    Log your day

A minute in Today: tap what you took, your roots, how you felt. Same as yesterday is one tap.

  • 3

    See what adds up

Your daily stack, overlaps, combinations to know about, and after two weeks, what seems to help you.

  • Where it comes from

We summarise the sources. You make the call.

Every ingredient page links to where the information comes from. Our short summaries are paraphrased and dated, never a verdict.

    • NIH Office of Dietary SupplementsFact sheets on vitamins, minerals and supplements
    • NCCIHHerbs and complementary health, US National Institutes of Health
    • EMA herbal monographsWhat the European Medicines Agency concluded about medicinal plants
    • EFSAEU upper levels for vitamins and minerals
    • EU Register of health claimsThe only health claims allowed on EU labels
    • NIH LiverTox · BfRSafety notes on herbs and supplements

    What Tray will never do

    • Tell you to start, stop or change a medicine or dose
    • Diagnose anything or replace your doctor or pharmacist
    • Let a brand pay for a better result. If I ever link to a product, the link is labelled and changes nothing Tray shows
    • Show your health data to anyone else
    Built in public

Tray is growing in the open.

I’m Georgiana, and I’m building Tray in public, alongside my own 440-day Rootline journey to 40. What you see is an early version: something gets fixed, added or rethought almost every day — often because a tester asked for it.

    • Opening on Day 440 — Friday 6 November

The countdown now starts with 440 days to go. Tray opens to testers on the first day of the journey.

    • Linking every library entry to its sources

Each ingredient shows a short summary plus the official sources behind it, so you can read them and decide for yourself.

    • My shelf: everything you take, added up

Tray and History are now one place. Your daily stack adds up amounts across products and compares them with EFSA upper levels; overlaps and combinations show on the same screen. Scans now read printed amounts too.

      from tester feedback
    • Today: one-minute logging and day blooms

Type what you took the way you'd say it, set your five roots, and get a day bloom, week story and journey garden you can download.

    • Upload prescriptions and lab reports

Tray reads the medicines and lab values from a photo or PDF, you check them, and they join your History. Stored privately; not medical advice.

    • AI check of everything you take

Possible connections between your medicines, supplements, products and flagged lab values, plus questions to ask your doctor. Clearly labelled as unverified AI, never as advice.

    • Countdown moved to 440 days

Rootline Daily now counts down from Day 440 on Friday 6 November to Day 0 on 20 January 2028.

    • Official sources on every ingredient

Each ingredient now shows where its facts come from: NIH fact sheets, the EU medicines agency's herbal monographs, EU-authorised health claims and safety notes from NIH LiverTox and Germany's BfR.

    • Tray Fit score on every scan

Each product now gets a 0–100 score and a verdict, with the reasons behind it, calculated only from reviewed data.

    • New History tab

Medicines, supplements and tray products in one timeline, next to your daily log, with pairing notes across all of them.

    Up next
    • More ingredients every week

New entries follow what I explore on the Rootline journey, plus what testers ask for.

    Before you try it

Yes, while Tray is in early access. I’ll say clearly, well in advance, if anything becomes paid.

    Start small

Add one thing you take. See what it adds up to.

Most people find at least one surprise on their shelf in the first five minutes: an overlap, a forgotten amount, a combination worth asking about.
